Briefly describe your graduate project: I am studying the effects
of nutrients derived from salmon carcasses on sockeye salmon production
using stable isotope analysis and population modeling (R/31-08).
Why did you choose UAF? I found the opening for this project on the
AFS Job Board. I've always been interested in nutrient cycling, and I
particularly liked the interdisciplinary approach of the project.
Favorite pastimes and hobbies: Reading, hiking, fishing, birding.
Most interesting educational experience so far: Almost every day
is an interesting experience. New data always surprise me, in good ways
or otherwise.
